Is Abraham really a common element between monotheisms? This question has rarely been treated with the thoroughness of this lecture.

Bristow, analyses in depth the accounts of Abraham in the Bible and the Quran and, starting from the ‘worldviews’ closely related to these accounts, lays the groundwork for a theological comparison of two religious traditions that present two portrayals of Abraham. Bristow, in particular, confronts the reading of the Abraham stories by contemporary Turkish imams.
