Umberto Eco’s Middle Ages
The Name of the Rose: "A translated and betrayed Middle Age?"
DoSt-I and the Italian Cultural Centre celebrate the 41 years since the publication of the Name of the Rose with two zoom events.
In the first one prof. Marco Rainini (Milano Catholic University) and Ahmet Altunbaş, translator of Latin textes from the Middle Age, will discuss the hsitory, the sicence and the theology which lies behind the novel.
The event will be in Italian and Turkish with simultaneous translation.
