The Name of the Rose: "A translated and betrayed Middle Age?"
DoSt-I and the Italian Cultural Centre celebrate the 41 years since the publication of the Name of the Rose with two zoom events.
In the second event, Anna Maria Lorusso, teacher of Semiology at the Bologna University, e Betül Parlak Cengiz, translator of Eco and Agamben, will discuss the challenges of translation (especially of the Name of the Rose) taking as a starting point the theory of translation of Umberto Eco. parleranno delle sfide della traduzione (in particolare di un romanzo come il Nome della Rosa) a partire dalla teoria di Umberto Eco.
The event will be in Italian and Turkish with simultaneous translation.
